By Kate Hindle, Social Family Records 2022.

Kate Hindle is a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of the Performing Arts, and of both the Junior and Senior Academies of Country Music.

She’s been performing in public since the age of nine and has been featured in major festivals all over Australia; sharing the stage with many well-known names including Lee Kernaghan, Beccy Cole, Adam Harvey, Travis Head, and Amber Lawrence.

The Happy End was written by Kate and produced by James Newhouse; it comes in both country and pop versions.

As the title suggests The Happy End is a song that looks for the positives that come out of life’s hardest moments.

It’s a song that focusses on appreciating the lessons we can learn from even the most daunting experiences in life rather than dwelling on the sadness.

We all make mistakes. We all will go through heartbreak and disappointment, but ultimately every experience makes us who we are.

James Newhouse’s production is crisp and provides plenty of space for Kate’s beautiful vocals to shine.

This song also shows that she’s a good songwriter.

She’s a multi-instrumentalist and a prolific songwriter who has spent most of her life performing and these talents are on show in this excellent track.

As a sandgroper she’s been fortunate enough to still tour within the State throughout the pandemic, joining Catherine Britt on her Bush Pubs Tour of The North West and supporting Tom Curtain and The Katherine Outback Experience.

She’s performed at the Donnybrook Apple Festival and Red Country Music Festival at Karratha, as well as pubs around the southwest.

Both versions of The Happy End are excellent and I expect that they should receive radio airtime.
