I’ve brought you music from many countries over the years I’ve been writing these reviews, most recently South Africa, and today I present an offering from Greece.
Anna is an 18-year-old winner of The Voice Greece (2021) and Fool’s Paradise is her first single.
It’s a beautiful ballad written by Anna and it really highlights her wonderful voice.
She’s one of the most promising young artists to come out of Greece in the last couple of years and she performed the track at the MAD Video Awards, performing alongside Konstantioos Argiros, one of the bestselling and most successful Greek artists of the last decade.
She is certainly hot property in her homeland at the present time.
Anna seems to have everything going for her, she’s a talented songwriter, she has a very good voice, and she’s extremely beautiful.
In these days of multi-visual platforms where music is consumed visually as much as it is aurally, and our obsession with beauty, it is certainly an asset to be blessed with good looks as well as talent.
There is very little information about Anna online other than masses of photographs so I can’t provide you with any history.
The song itself is a slow ballad that opens with Anna being accompanied by piano before bass and keyboards join her.
Her delivery is initially breathy and intimate but as the song swells, she sings with strength and wonderful clarity.
Fool’s Paradise is an excellent song and it suggests that there is a lot more to come from this talented young artist.
