Bonnie Kellett is an Australian singer/songwriter whose songs traverse country, pop, and rock genres.

Hooked is the fourth song that she’s released and all of them have been very good.

The song is about the addiction of love in a lopsided relationship.

A relationship where one of the participants is head-over-heels while the other is not really emotionally engaged but keeps coming back knowing that the other person is hopelessly addicted.

The song contains all the elements for success.

It’s beautifully performed and full of hooks with a particularly strong chorus.

She wrote the song while she was in Nashville and the track features her exquisite violin playing, on the instrument that late father gave her as a child.

It’s over 100 years old and the track also features her father’s banjo, played by producer Govinda Doyle.

Hooked is the latest release from her upcoming debut album which is set for release next year.

Going by the quality of the four singles released so far, the album should do well.

Bonnie has been noticed by many Australian music icons.

She’s opened for Lee Kernaghan, performed with Jon English at the Sydney Opera House and impressed Gina Jeffreys with her talents as a solo musician.

Gina commented: “I was lucky enough to see Bonnie Kellett perform live and I was absolutely blown away! Bonnie is a brilliant guitarist, fiddle player, and looper!

“She’s a master entertainer with a powerhouse vocal and entertains in a way like nobody else we’ve seen here in Australia.

“I think Bonnie Kellett is destined for a big future in Country Music Australia.”

This is one hell of an accolade but the quality of the four singles so far released suggests that Gina is not exaggerating.
