Survey to shed light on solar systems

The electrical regulator, Building and Energy is undertaking a survey to gain a better understanding of the community’s experience with the solar industry.

Building and Energy said it would like to hear from people regarding their experience with the solar industry via the short survey.

“As the Western Australian Electrical Regulator, Building and Energy is undertaking this survey to gain a better understanding of the community’s experience with the solar industry,” the regulator said.

“We would appreciate any feedback you can provide.”

It said the survey comprised 10 questions and would take around five minutes to complete.

Building and Energy said its survey related only to solar (PV) systems that generated power only and not solar powered hot water systems.

It said the survey comprised of 10 questions and was expected to take around five minutes to complete.

The questions include:

* When was your solar system installed?

* How much did you pay for your solar system?

* What size of solar system did you have installed?

*What was the name of the company that you purchased the solar system from?

* What was the EC (Electrical Contractor) number of the company that installed your solar system?

* Were you provided an Electrical Safety Certificate by your solar installer? (According to Building and Energy the law, requires an electrical contractor to provide an Electrical Safety Certificate following the installation of a solar system).

* Thinking about your solar installation, on a scale of one (not at all satisfied) to 10 (extremely satisfied), how happy are you with your solar installation?
