Bo’Ness are identical twins Callum and Jackson McPartlane who are based on the Gold Coast and Stiil Young is the third single that I’ve heard from them.

Originally from Victoria, they have become important members of the Queensland country music fraternity.

In 2020 they released We Don’t Need This Town, a song about domestic violence which charted well on the iTunes Country Music chart.

They followed that up earlier this year with a powerful up-tempo country rock track, Light Up The Airwaves, which was written by Chris Cheney of The Living End.

Still Young continues their country rock inclinations with the typical tight sibling harmonies the boys are renowned for, which are reminiscent of The Everly Brothers.

The lads are still young at 18 years of age but they’ve been performing for a long time.

They were born into a musical family and were regularly brought up onto the stage to perform with their parents and the artists they were touring with.

This exposure has given them an advantage in experience over many of their peers.

They certainly are proficient singers and musicians.

They appeared in The Voice 2020 and have been part of the Red Hot Summer Tour for the last couple of years opening the show for rock legends Jimmy Barnes and Diesel.

Their brush with rock and roll heavyweights has continued with production input on their new singles.

The writing skills of the afore mentioned Chris Cheney aside, they have also enlisted the help of Diesel on an upcoming song as well as the impressive production skills of ARIA winner Matt Fell and a string of other impressive writers, including Nashville based ex-pat Sam Hawksley.

Given the quality of the three tracks so far released I’m expecting that Bo’Ness’ star will continue to rise.

They have certainly got a solid basis for an upcoming album.
