The Queensland Police Service (QPS) has launched a virtual seminar for people wanting to learn more about the opportunities of joining the Force and engaging in the interesting and challenging roles it offers, on and off the front-line.
The virtual seminar can be watched from the comfort of their homes.
According to the police, the seminar allows anyone to learn about pursuing a career within the QPS, in rural and remote parts of the State, and beyond.
The 20-minute video-based seminar explains what it takes to be a Queensland police officer and provides important information about what to expect during the recruitment process and life at the Queensland Police Academy.
In a statement, the QPS said interested participants would also get the chance to hear serving officers talk about their personal experiences after they joined the service, as well as some of the exciting roles they have experienced.
“It will step you through the QPS values, desired attributes for a police officer, pre-entry requirements, the application process, applicant timeline, and go over what the QPS offers and expects from police recruits,” the QPS said.
“If you are considering a policing career, we encourage you to watch this seminar and find why we consider the QPS to be the greatest career choice.”
The seminar can be accessed at any time via the Queensland Police YouTube channel at this PS News link.
