The WorkSafe Qld website has been redesigned.

Overhauled jointly by Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, the Electrical Safety Office, Workers’ Compensation Regulatory Services and WorkCover Queensland, the upgraded site was adopted to make it simpler, cleaner and easier to use, with a focus on ensuring important information was easily accessible.

“The newly-designed website provides relevant and up-to-date information in simple and direct language,” the collective entities said.

“It is mobile friendly and responsive and has a menu and home page designed with the user in mind,” they said.

“It has an improved search function, which means you can easily find and filter information you need, when you need it, and has a strong focus on accessibility standards to include the 18 per cent of Queenslanders who have a disability.”

The group said the website was originally created in 2014 to provide a one-stop-shop for safety and workers’ compensation information.

They began work on the project to redesign the website last year after users said there was confusion about who owned the website; that the information was hard to find; and then, when it was found, it was overwhelming.

“We started by talking to people who use the website.” The group said. “We asked what the issues were and what they needed from the website.”

“From there, we redesigned WorkSafe.qld.gov.au and addressed the problems,” they said.

The new website can be accessed at WorkSafe.qld.gov.au or at this PS News link.
