DTA search for APS development partner

The Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) is looking for a partner “to deliver our vision of helping Australian Public Service (APS) members build their skills and realise their career potential”.

The DTA said it wanted to hear from service providers to help it develop its prototype APS Career Pathfinder tool into a fully functional solution.

In a statement, the Agency said interested organisations should have a demonstrated capability in designing and delivering innovative products.

“To be eligible for consideration, you must be registered as a seller on the Digital Marketplace platform,” the DTA said.

“It may take a couple of weeks to get registered, so be quick and register soon as the opportunity closes on 19 February.

“We have around 150 typical digital roles people can aspire to in our Digital Career Pathways dataset, which will grow to include more than just digital roles, such as those from the data profession.”

Because of this, the DTA said it was looking to provide a better and more engaging way for people to explore their career path options in the APS.

It said the APS Career Pathfinder would match skills and interests with roles drawn from the digital career pathways dataset.

“Through this prototype we have learned a lot about what APS staff are looking for in a career guidance tool. We are now looking to expand the capability and features of this tool further,” the statement said.

More information about the opportunity can be accessed on DTA’s digital marketplace at this PS News link.
