The Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) has called for nominations for the 2019 Australian Government Digital Awards, formerly the ICT Awards.

DTA said the awards were an opportunity for Government to showcase excellence in digital products, services, partnerships and individuals.

It said nominations were invited from Federal, State, Territory and Local Governments and from industry where appropriate.

“There are nine awards you can nominate for under Outstanding Digital Service, Excellence in Partnerships and Individual Contribution,” DTA said.

It said these were: Outstanding digital product or service; Outstanding digital platform; Outstanding use of emerging technology; Outstanding methodology or approach; Excellence in government-industry partnership; Excellence in multi-Agency partnership; Digital professional of the year; Digital emerging talent of the year; and Digital diversity champion of the year.

“Each nomination is an acknowledgement of the excellent work that Government does, and to have a project nominated is a proud achievement,” the Agency said.

“From the nominations, our panels of judges well select the very best examples in Government as the finalists.”

It said nominations will close on 16 August with finalists on 11 September and winners announced at a Digital Awards dinner at the National Convention Centre in Canberra on 3 October, following the Digital Summit 2019.

More information and details on how to make a nomination can be accessed on the DTA website at this PS News link.
