About Jen White

Jen White started as a copy girl at Cleo magazine, where opening the mail could be an eye-opening experience. Not long after, she scored a cadetship with Cumberland Newspapers and achieved her long-held dream of becoming a journalist. The majority of Jen’s career was spent at the Illawarra Mercury in Wollongong, working as a reporter, sub-editor, Features Editor, Chief of Staff and Deputy Editor. Since leaving the Mercury in 2015, Jen’s held a variety of communications jobs in the private and public sectors, but when Region Media came knocking, she couldn’t resist the offer to return to her first love, and to her Illawarra community.
