The Office of the Fair Work Ombudsman is to make changes to its online services at the end of this month and has warned its clients to save their own copy of any history they may own before 25 February.
Announcing the changes, the Office said that once its changes are made, clients would be able to access all of its existing courses from a new Online learning centre at a new address.
“You’ll be able to access all of our existing courses from a new Online learning centre at a new address,” the Office said.
It said users would no longer be able to log in to the Online learning centre via My account.
“While we’re redirecting all our links, please update any bookmarks you have saved in your browser,” it said.
“Your learning history, including certificates for courses you’ve already completed, will not move to the new system.
“If you have any learning history saved in My account, you’ll need to save your own copy before 25 February.”
According to the Office My account’s new look and features will include a fresh landing page and improved navigation; an ‘Alerts and important updates’ section to replace the existing ‘News’ section; and a new ‘Resources’ section, replacing the ‘Training’ section.
“We’re also adding multi-factor authentication to My account,” it said.
“This means each time you log in, you’ll need to verify your identity with either a phone call or a code that we’ll send to you via SMS.”
The Office said it was also making changes to its Library, to offer a “fresh new look”, a new site address and changes to its search function.
“There will also be changes to the way you can provide feedback on Library articles,” it said.
“Instead of commenting on articles through My account, you’ll be able to provide feedback and comments through our online feedback form,” the Office said.
