The Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) has launched a program targeting women in the Australian Public Service at Executive Level One (EL1) who are in digital and ICT roles.

Chief Executive of the DTA, Randall Brugeaud said the Coaching for Women in Digital program was inviting expressions of interest.

“There’s no question that diverse workforces are more successful, more innovative, more adaptable and more in tune with their customers’ needs,” Mr Brugeaud said.

“As Head of the Digital Profession, I am committed to increasing the diversity of our digital workforce in the APS. This includes supporting more women into digital leadership roles.”

He said the Coaching for Women in Digital program provided women in digital roles with the opportunity to reflect and learn, connect with their peers and grow their digital careers.

“The program is being delivered virtually to allow everyone to take part, no matter where they are. I encourage all EL1 women looking to grow their digital careers to register,” Mr Brugeaud said.

“This program is part of how we’re helping to build an APS that continues to deliver quality outcomes for people and businesses.”

He said the closing date for expressions of interest was 16 October.

“Following this we will ask for formal commitment, which must be confirmed by 30 October. The program runs from November to August 2021,” Mr Brugeaud said.

“The program includes seven two-hour virtual group coaching sessions and two networking events. You will be assigned to a small group where you’ll get to know your peers and share your experiences.”

He said that in between sessions, participants would receive coaching challenges aligned with their goals. They would receive support from a digital resource and collaboration platform.
