The National Capital Authority (NCA) has released a new app to help people pay for parking in NCA carparks.

The Authority said the EasyPark app would allow motorists to pay for their parking and extend their parking time without having to go to their car to display a ticket.

“[The] EasyPark app will allow you to get full control of your parking session and save time on your daily commute,” the NCA said.

“Conveniently start making your parking payment while sitting in your car, no need to go to the parking machine,” it said.

“Avoid parking fines by extending the parking session duration remotely from your phone – wherever you are.”

The NCA said the app would prevent people from overpaying for parking by allowing them to only pay for the time they needed.

“Use your favourite payment method – credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay,” it said.

“You can also add your corporate credit card to pay for your business parking.”

The Authority said it managed the pay parking arrangements in parts of Parkes, Barton, Russell and Acton on behalf of the Australian Government.

The NCA’s EasyPark app can be accessed at this PS News link and information on where it can be used at this link.
