Western Australia is being promoted as the ideal study destination for students in 10 international markets in an effort to attract overseas scholars.

Created in collaboration with StudyPerth, the promotion campaign is to be displayed in Malaysia, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Bhutan, Hong Kong, Nepal, Pakistan and Singapore, and soon in China.

According to the Minister for International Education, David Templeman, the Government was working closely with StudyPerth to deliver targeted activities to ensure international students are aware of and welcomed to Western Australia.

Mr Templeman said the campaign would support the initiatives currently in place and planned by StudyPerth.

“The international education sector has a lead role to play in the McGowan Government’s diversification plans, which will help secure the State’s long-term economic prosperity,” Mr Templeman said.

“We are committed to supporting and growing the international education sector in Western Australia, including building a pipeline of future onshore international students, he said.

“With our world-class universities, strong economy, wealth of job opportunities and desirable lifestyle, Western Australia is a study destination like no other.”

He said the campaign will rung on social media channels and YouTube over a three-month period to reinforce Western Australia as an ideal study destination for 2022 and beyond.

“The marketing campaign forms part of the ‘Western Australia – It’s like no other’ attraction campaign launched on 15 December 2021 and promotes the State as a desirable destination for visitors, students, investors and workers.”
