Tourism WA is showcasing some of the State’s best holiday experiences through a new virtual hub on its website.

In a statement, the Agency said the hub brought together immersive content to keep WA’s experiences at the top of consumers’ minds and provide inspiration for when they could travel again.

“Thanks to technology and the entrepreneurship of WA’s tourism industry, the Virtual WA hub features nature, wildlife, food and beverage, events and cultural experiences that can be sampled from the comfort of your living room,” the statement said.

“These experiences are showcased via live streamed events, interactive tours or attractions, virtual reality footage of awe-inspiring landscapes or natural phenomena, and other assets allowing travellers to get a feel for a holiday in WA.”

Tourism WA said some experiences included exploring the depths of Ngilgi Cave in Yallingup, enjoying a swim with dolphins in Rockingham and exploring the Pinnacles.

It said then there were Kimberley air tours, virtual wine tastings and enjoying IsoFringe events.

“Industry can get involved by having its experience featured on the virtual hub as long as its content meets certain criteria,” the Agency said.

It said the content must showcase what WA has to offer in an immersive and/or interactive way; instil a sense of adventure by aligning with the marketing pillars of nature and wildlife and be hosted on the applicant’s website, social channels or YouTube channel.
