Recent graduates are being called to join the Victorian Public Service with over 100 jobs on offer across a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds.

Opening applications for the State’s 2024 Big Build Graduate Program, the Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, Jacinta Allan said graduates would undertake a two-year program featuring structured learning and development opportunities as well as career planning to prepare for the next step in their professional lives.

“They’ll develop technical and workforce skills, working alongside industry leaders and learning from experts eager to help and guide the next generation of talent,” Ms Allan said.

“By joining one of our project teams, graduates will gain first-hand experience working on state-shaping projects that will make it easier for Victorians to get where they need to go quickly and safely,” she said.

“Job specialties across Victoria’s Big Build include engineering, graphic design, human resources, information systems, land planning and environment, and law.”

Ms Allan said the State’s Big Build Graduate Program was recognised by the Australian Association of Graduate Employers as one of the country’s best workplaces for graduates.

She said that last year more than 1,600 graduates applied to be part of the 2023 cohort, with 138 making it through to hiring.

“If you feel like you have something to offer and you’re keen to learn from industry experts across a wide range of disciplines, all while getting paid a competitive salary, don’t hesitate to get your application in,” the Minister said.

“Graduates wishing to apply must have completed a degree since January 2021 or be due to graduate by January 2024, hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree relevant to the role applied for and have full Australian working rights at the time of application.”

Ms Allan said applications would be open until 22 March.
