The South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) held a major media event last Thursday night (27 January), showcasing the State’s tourism sector on television screens across the country.
Chief Executive of the Commission, Rodney Harrex said the 60-minute primetime program displayed South Australia’s diverse tourism offerings aimed at inspiring travellers to support businesses by booking holidays and help recover the visitor economy.
Mr Harrex said the special one-off program, A little more SA with Cosi and Friends, brought local household names together to explore the State, share their favourite getaways and encourage locals and visitors to book a trip in South Australia.
He said the program showcased how visitors could feel confident and safe when booking and travelling.
“It will highlight holiday destinations, upcoming events and festivals, and recently opened visitor experiences,” Mr Harrex said.
“The special television feature is designed to re-inspire travellers to see South Australia and highlight the innovation and adaptability of the industry.
“We’re calling on locals as well as interstaters to get behind our industry, remember how much they love our city, the regions and our upcoming festival season – and plan a trip, book ahead and check out all of the new and incredible offerings in SA, where travellers can get ‘a little more’ out of their holiday.”
Mr Harrex said the special episode was supported by digital and social marketing from the SATC and its partner, Channel 7, as well as program hosts.
He said a week of weather crosses on 7NEWS with Amelia Mulcahy would further highlight destinations and operators across South Australia.
A national encore of the show is due to air on 2 February on 7TWO.
