The Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) has entered partnerships with organisations in South Australia and the ACT aimed at delivering cyber-security assessment and training services for businesses and organisations.

According to the ACSC the assessment and training will be conducted through the Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) with the support of the Australian Cyber Collaboration Centre in South Australia and CIT Solutions in the ACT.

Head of the ACSC, Abigail Bradshaw said the IRAP training would begin next month.

“IRAP training endorses individuals to provide high-quality cyber-security assessments to Government and industry, providing assurance that ICT systems meet the Australian Government’s cyber-security standards,” Ms Bradshaw said.

“The ACSC’s updated IRAP training program supports the Government’s commitment to developing industry capabilities, building a skilled cyber workforce, and helping make Australia the most secure place to connect online.”

She said the partnership would increase the availability of IRAP training and provide more opportunities for Australians from the private and public sectors to become endorsed IRAP assessors.

“This means more businesses and organisations will be able to access Australian Signals Directorate-endorsed assessors to identify cyber-security vulnerabilities, and help implement rigorous Australian Government cyber-security standards,” Ms Bradshaw said.

The updated IRAP policy and training has been co-designed by the ACSC with Government and industry representatives.
