Sport and Recreation Victoria has published updated guidelines and resources to support sporting and related organisations with their return to action as the COVID-19 restrictions continue to ease.

The Agency said it had updated its return to play information hub for community sport with a full suite of resources and frequently asked questions.

“We know that getting back on the field or court means so much to so many Victorians,” the Agency said.

“The easing of restrictions mean that Victorians can begin to get back to the sport and recreation activities they love,” it said.

“However it’s important we stick to physical distancing restrictions to slow the spread of coronavirus.”

Sport and Recreation Victoria said it had also published a new set of simple and easy-to-understand fact sheets for players; coaches; volunteers; clubs; and community operators.

“The fact sheets outline the latest updates to restrictions while providing some tips on how players and staff can stay safe while returning to training and key information for clubs and facility operators,” it said.

“Information is also available to support high performance and professional sport return to play,” it said.
