By Gav Brown, Independent release 2019.

Last year I reviewed Perth local Gav Brown’s debut album Sound Circus commenting that the album was a strong introduction with some good song writing and potential for further development.

The album enjoyed success in the Play MPE Charts reaching number one in the Australian, Rock, Triple A and Adult Contemporary categories.

In addition to this, many of the album’s singles gained airtime and charted throughout the country and in NZ, Europe and America.

Road Less Travelled is his follow-up and it’s already gaining some traction in the music charts with the single, Railroad Track, recently featured on SKY TV in the UK.

Gav’s second album is a development of his country-rock inspired, foot-tapping style, displayed in Sound Circus.

He sounds more confident and the production is a little crisper on Road Less Travelled but the formula is the same.

Once again I feel that the strength of this album is the song writing.

Gav writes a good song in the narrative, story-telling style.

The instrumentation on this album is particularly good.

I remember commenting about the quality of the music on the previous album so he is still surrounding himself with a group of talented musicians.

The album has already been picked up by country radio in the USA.

“It’s awesome stuff. I began to play the album on Thursday and will continue to promote. There are some amazingly technically perfect sings like Nashville and Railroad Track.” Gerry Sorensen WAAY RADIO Ohio USA.

It’s a hard slog earning a living as an independent artist but Gav Brown seems to be making a good go of it, so if country music is your thing why don’t you give this album a listen?

I’m confident that you won’t be disappointed.
