State Records is hosting online sessions to explore the archive and family history resources as part of National Family History Month.

The Agency said a webinar to explore family history research using the State Records archive is to be held this Wednesday, 25 August.

State Records said it held the archive for the State of South Australia and Local Government and records could assist with family history research.

It said people could supply research questions and State Records could point them in the right direction, as well as share tips and tricks for finding information.

It said another webinar, Discovering Kin and Country, offering tips and skills for researching Aboriginal family histories, would be presented online on Tuesday 31 August.

State Records said the event would include free talks by researchers, archivists and library staff.

It said the sessions would be recorded for future access.

Organisers said the webinar bookings were essential and links would be emailed to attendees before each session.

The webinar booking links can be accessed at this PS News link.
