Canberrans are being encouraged to take part in a short survey to help improve visitor experiences in the Territory’s parks, reserves and forests.
Minister for Land Management, Mick Gentleman said the Parks and Conservation Service survey would help the Service understand who was using ACT parks and reserves and what they were using them for.
“We know how highly Canberrans value our natural environment and we want to make sure that our parks and reserves continue to provide great experiences,” Mr Gentleman said.
“This survey will give us a better picture of visitor expectations and satisfaction and help us ensure we get the most out of our unique and diverse landscape,” he said.
Mr Gentleman said the Service was also planning to conduct face-to-face surveys of park visitors.
“So keep an eye out for our friendly volunteers if you’re heading to Tidbinbilla, Namadgi or one of our 39 Canberra Nature Park reserves,” the Minister said.
Director of the Parks and Conservation Service, Daniel Iglesias said results from the survey would be a valuable tool to help the Service connect to the Canberra community.
“The results will allow us to continue making real, positive changes that will keep our parks and reserves places that everyone can enjoy,” Mr Iglesias said.
