The Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate has launched its 2022 ACTPS Graduate Program, inviting recent university graduates to join the ACTPS workforce.

In a statement, the Directorate said the Program offered a challenging and rewarding graduate experience.

“With three rotations across two directorates and a comprehensive learning and development program, our 10-month program will provide you with the foundations and networks to kickstart your career with the ACTPS,” the Directorate said.

“The ACTPS is a unique public service that provides an environment to promote your skills, abilities and professional growth, and offers a workplace culture where diversity and innovation are celebrated,” it said.

The Directorate said ACTPS Graduates would receive competitive remuneration and entitlements, including a starting salary of over $74,000 and a promotion and permanent job when they successfully completed the Program.

According to OurCBR, the Program was expanded in 2020 to ensure that all candidates who were found suitable in recent Graduate Assessment Centres were offered a role in the 2021 ACTPS Graduate Program.

OurCBR said a talent bank of graduates to work within the Strategy and Transformation Office (STO) had also been established, as well as a neurodiversity pilot program for two further graduate positions for individuals with autism.
