An in-kind partnership between the Department of Premier and Cabinet’s Cenitex and the Victorian Public Sector Pride Network (VPS Pride Network) has led to a significant upgrade to the Network’s ability to comminate with key stakeholders.
Cenitex is the State-owned enterprise delivering essential ICT services to the Victorian Government, such as identity and network management, security, user workspace and cloud services.
Cenitex said the VPS Pride Network upgrade followed the establishment of its Diversity & Inclusion Council and LGBTIQ+ Stream in August last year.
It said its Project Management team onboarded VPS Pride Network’s users, Office365 accounts, shared mailboxes and a Microsoft Teams channel which enabled the Network to collaborate and manage their work more easily.
Lead of LGBTIQ+ stream in the Diversity & Inclusion Council at Cenitex, Andrew Closey said the Project Management team demonstrated a “can-do, then do it attitude”, to implement the initiative.
“We really appreciate their efforts in helping us partner with the VPS Pride Network to support inclusiveness in the public sector,” Mr Closey said.
Chairperson of the VPS Pride Network, Grant Godino said the upgrade made it easier to efficiently communicate with Network volunteers and Committee members.
