PlanSA has invited the public to contribute opinions for a draft plan for the Yorke Peninsula and Mid North, exploring issues and opportunities for land use planning, infrastructure and the public realm in the region.
Calling for the comments, PlanSA said regional plans played a significant role in identifying land use and long-term infrastructure needs for an area, highlighting how vital changes could be accommodated over a 15 to 30-year period.
“The public can influence the development of the draft Yorke Peninsula and Mid North Regional Plan by contributing to the survey,” PlanSA said.
“They may help shape the vision for the Yorke Peninsula and Mid North over the next 30 years by providing relevant background or history,” it said.
“Additionally, they can help identify and define regional priorities, as they relate to land use planning and the coordination of infrastructure and the public realm.”
PlanSA said that after the initial phase of engagement it would prepare a report for the South Australian Planning Commission which outlines the range of feedback received.
It said it expected that a draft Yorke Peninsula and Mid North Regional Plan would be released for consultation in the middle of this year.
The survey for public comment about the Yorke Peninsula and Mid North draft plan can be accessed at the YourSAy website at PS News link.
