The Western Australian Ombudsman says staff from his office and that of the Energy and Water Ombudsman are to be present at an information stall at the Make Smoking History Wagin Woolorama this Friday and Saturday (5 and 6 March).
The Ombudsman, Chris Field said the Wagin Woolorama was Western Australia’s largest regional agricultural show with 25,000 people attending in 2020.
“The event is an integral part of the office’s Regional Awareness and Accessibility Program, which is intended to ensure awareness and accessibility to our services by regional and Aboriginal Western Australians,” Mr Field said.
“Improving awareness of the Ombudsman’s services, and strengthening relationships with regional communities, are key priorities for my office.”
“We want to ensure that our services are as accessible as they can possibly be to Western Australians living and working in the regions.”
He said visitors to the show were welcome to come and speak to the Ombudsman’s staff about any concerns they might have with State Government Agencies, Local Governments and universities, or their electricity, gas or water provider.
“The Ombudsman’s stall will be located in the Home and Lifestyle Pavilion and open from 9am to 6pm on Friday, 5 March and 9am to 5pm on Saturday, 6 March,” Mr Field said.
