Tourism WA has launched a campaign to help businesses impacted by COVID-19 restrictions.
Acting Managing Director at Tourism WA, Derryn Belford said Relook and Book was encouraging West Australians who had been considering a holiday in the State, or who had had their travel plans disrupted, to have another look at local destinations, and book for 2021.
Ms Belford said the Relook and Book marketing campaign would support regions around the State that had considerable vacancies, including the Kimberley and Ningaloo Reef.
“We recognise 2020 and 2021 have been an absolute rollercoaster for our industry and the uncertainty throughout the COVID-19 pandemic has been difficult, as operators work through cancellations, refunds and postponements — often at the last minute,” Ms Belford said.
“West Australians have been great travellers, spending a record $4.8 billion according to the latest National Visitor Survey.”
She said the campaign would build on Tourism WA’s successful Wander out Yonder campaign.
“Relook and Book is encouraging West Australians to holiday at home and spend their money in WA,” Ms Belford said.
She said Relook and Book, which was now up and running across radio, print and social media, featured holiday deals and travel packages to entice locals to book and travel now.
