Tourism WA says that while some of the State’s most inspiring holidays are featured in the new Tourism Australia campaign, support for the local tourism industry over Christmas is the most inspiring of all.
Acting Managing Director at Tourism WA, Derryn Belford said this was the “ultimate time” to get behind local tourism operators.
“Western Australia has so many amazing adventures for all ages and abilities,” Ms Belford said, “and it’s great to see so many top West Australian products featured in the campaign.”
“Among the West Australian adventures highlighted as part of the campaign are swimming with dolphins at Bunbury and the unique opportunity to swim with whale sharks at Ningaloo.”
She said the top ideas included booking a stay at COMO The Treasury in Perth, or the Tradewinds Hotel in East Fremantle.
“Or for those looking for something a little extra — a getaway at the Injidup Spa Retreat in Margaret River, or maybe the seclusion of Sal Salis,” Ms Belford said.
“A dinner at Wildflower in Perth is high on the Tourism Australia wish list, while Margaret River and the Swan Valley top the list of its endless options of wines.”
She said 25 local operators in the South-West and Perth region recently came together in a similar campaign, encouraging West Aussies to Gift a WA Tourism Experience.
“There is no better time for West Aussies to show their support for their local tourism operator,” Ms Belford said.
