The Commission for Gender Equality in the Public Sector has scheduled the remaining sessions of its pilot Communities of Practice (CoPs) to support Departments and Agencies in meeting their obligations under the Gender Equality Act 2020.
The Commission said that in July it funded the Action for Gender Equality partnership to deliver the pilot CoPs over a six-month period targeting defined entities in Sports and Recreation; Eastern Metropolitan Region; Grampians and Loddon Mallee Region; and Health Services.
“Three of these CoPs are newly established structures,” the Commission said.
“The Health Services CoP is an existing network that will have additional tailored support through this project,” it said.
“The Commission is excited about this pilot project and communicating the findings and insights in 2022.”
It said the pilot CoPs held their first sessions in August and the remaining sessions have been scheduled to take place from September to November.
It said the Sports and Recreation CoP would be held on 9 September, 7 October and 11 November; the Eastern Metropolitan Region CoP on 7 September, 5 October and 9 November; the Grampians and Loddon Mallee Region CoP on 6 October and 10 November; and the Health Services CoP on 7 September, 4 October and 4 November.
