A better ageing boot camp is now at your disposal through La Réserve Ramatuelle.
It will be a treat as you enjoy the attention from considerate staff while experiencing a reassuring sense of privacy.
The La Réserve is embracing the wellness arena and has created the Nescens Better Ageing Boot camp based on programs from the Anti-Ageing Centre at the Clinique de Genolier in Switzerland and with the medical expertise from the Nescens brand.
At La Réserve Spa Ramatuelle, the multi-disciplinary team offers you two better-ageing programs. Whatever your goal: slimming, toning, wellbeing, these two programs offer a global approach combining spa treatments, exercise and tailored, balanced meals. During three to six days for optimal effectiveness, you benefit from a fully personalised program.
Lunches and dinners are served in the La Voile restaurant, where the Michelin-starred chef Eric Canino interprets Mediterranean flavours through light, finely balanced cuisine … using produce from the culinary garden of La Réserve Ramatuelle. You’ll be in good company as there are many celebrities who come in and out of this stylish abode.
La Réserve is a hidden oasis just outside of St Tropez with its 11,000-square-foot spa and Crème de la Mer facials. There are 23 spacious rooms and suites, all with terraces or private gardens, and spectacular sea views.
This is no ‘frumpy property’ from the Cote d’Azur. La Réserve offers floor-to-ceiling windows, natural stone in ochre and white with touches of unfinished wood to create a modernist effect.
The subtle design palette extends to minks, taupes and caramels whilst outside the blue sea on sky, dense green trees and biscuit-coloured sand may beckon you away from your sundeck hugging the 100-foot-long swimming pool. However, this is much less crowded than Pampelonne with its bikini-clad Bardot wannabes and millionaires and Hollywood stars.
Program benefits
If you want to ‘drop’ a few years, then La Réserve is definitely the place to do it. The
Nescens boot camp costs from 1950 Euro for three days excluding accommodation. Your camp offers you a global program combining Nordic walking, spa treatments and the benefits of a light Mediterranean cuisine.
After a complete check-up (physical aptitude, nutrition and joint health) undertaken by the consultant physician at the start of the program, your days will feature:
- Personalised muscular awakening session
- Balanced breakfast tailored to the subsequent effort
- Guided walk in the hinterland or on coastal paths will be in an exceptional natural environment. Several paths have been signposted by the teams, ranging from 10 to 20 kilometres and with varying degrees of difficulty. Sea bathing is possible, if desired.
- Better-ageing lunch at the La Voile restaurant
- Relaxing break under a sunshade by the pool or on the terrace of your room
- Spa treatment program: balneotherapy, wrap, jet shower, better-ageing body massage, etc.
- Dinner at the La Voile restaurant
Diplomat’s refurbishment and charitable support
One of Canberra’s most iconic hotels, the Diplomat Hotel in Griffith, has just undergone a major refurbishment and was re-launched earlier this month. As part of the hotel’s re-launch, Diplomat – a Roundhouse Hotel – also announced its support of Rooftop Foundation.
The management is looking forward to welcoming all guests, many who will be returning and new clientele to the Diplomat to experience a new era of comfort and service.
According to the managing director for Roundhouse Hotels Hugh Cooke, the Diplomat has become part of the movement of renovating and revitalising Canberra’s heritage hotels.
“We were very proud to have the professional expertise of Blainey North who provided the design and inspiration for the refurbishment and assisted us in implementing her vision at the highest possible standard,” he said.
“In addition to the launch of the Diplomat, we are thrilled to provide support to the Rooftop Foundation, a fantastic local initiative which assists people in their time of need by providing emergency accommodation” continued Mr Cooke.
Rooftop Foundation’s mission is to support regional families with affordable relief accommodation at times of medical need. The foundation offers support to families when they are away from home due to a loved one having medical treatment.
Roundhouse Hotels is raising money for Rooftop Foundation to provide 100 room nights in a year via free and discounted accommodation.
Chair of Rooftop Foundation Inc. Marc Wilson said this was the first time Rooftop had received this type of support. Diabetes NSW/ACT was one of the first direct beneficiaries.
People coming from regional areas for treatment in Canberra can stay at one of the Roundhouse Hotel Group’s well-appointed and centrally located rooms.
“We need more hotels like Roundhouse that include social responsibility at the core of their brand,” Mr Wilson said.
