The Digital Transformation Agency’s (DTA) new Telecommunications Marketplace has launched with 11 categories, replacing and expanding on the Mobile and Telecommunications Services panels.

The Agency said the Marketplace’s launch would improve the way Government bought digital products and services and would make it easier for buyers and sellers to do business.

“We worked closely with buyers to understand the types of telecommunications products and services they wanted to buy,” DTA said.

“We also engaged sellers through a discussion paper and one-on-one meetings to gain a better understanding of their offerings and the direction of the market,” it said.

DTA said Government buyers could use the Telecommunications Marketplace to buy products and services, including data carriage services; internet carriage services; fixed line voice carriage services; managed network services; unified communications services; managed voice services; dark fibre services; contact centre systems; enterprise mobility services; satellite services; and managed router services.

“Thank you to the buyers and sellers who provided feedback throughout the development process of the new Telecommunications Marketplace,” it said.

General Manager of Sourcing and Enabling Division at the DTA, Lucy Poole said the new Telecommunications Marketplace delivered a service that helped Agencies continue their digital transformation.

Ms Poole said the Marketplace was launched through the ICT Procurement Portal and offered new functions to make buying and selling easier.
