The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) has moved its first wave of staff into their new city-based office.

Director General of DPIRD, Ralph Addis (pictured right) said about 80 staff working in Primary Industries Development and Agriculture Resource Management and Assessment moved into the Nash Street building last week (beginning 15 March).

Mr Addis said this included staff servicing the grains, horticulture and livestock industries, as well as those working in natural resource management and land mapping.

“I am pleased with this move forward and the opportunity to ensure our staff are equipped with a premises to foster their best work for our State,” Mr Addis said.

“The office space over four floors is being realigned to meet the needs of our business operations, which includes meeting rooms to welcome our stakeholders across agriculture, fisheries and regional development,” he said.

“Many staff have been taking tours of the new offices ahead of their move and for those that are now settled in, I look forward to the energy, enthusiasm and innovations arising from this collaborative workspace.”

Mr Addis said the remaining 400 or so office-based staff from DPIRD’s South Perth and William Street sites were expected to join their colleagues at the new location by mid-year.

He said DPIRD’s new location was at 1 Nash Street, Perth and all officers were still contactable on their usual mobile numbers and emails.
