The Office of Digital Government has developed a Digital Strategy Roadmap for 2023.
In a statement, the Office, which sits in the Department of Premier and Cabinet, said the roadmap demonstrated the progress of key initiatives driving the implementation of the Government’s Digital Strategy.
“The Strategy lays out plans for digital transformation across the whole of the Government,” the Office said.
“It aims to create better services, help make informed decisions, improve safety and security of IT systems and expand digital inclusion,” it said.
“This year, the roadmap includes 27 initiatives, including the implementation of new technology to aid planning reform, advancements in cyber-security for Government Departments and a program to digitise at-risk audio-visual collections.”
The Office said it would continue to report to the Government annually on the progress of Digital Strategy projects and initiatives.
Minister for Innovation and the Digital Economy, Stephen Dawson said the roadmap outlined how the Government would deliver on its vision of digital reform “progressing WA towards a more secure, sustainable and inclusive digital future”.
“The Government is delivering modern and seamless digital services that all Western Australians deserve now and in the future,” Mr Dawson said.
“This roadmap provides industry and the community with a future view of the convenient, smart and secure digital projects we plan to deliver.”
