The Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) is calling on its clients to nominate the DCJ employees and teams who’ve delivered outstanding service so they can be presented with a Making a Difference Employee Award.

The Department’s awards are held annually to recognise and celebrate the exceptional achievements made by its staff throughout the year.

“Nominations for the 2020 Awards are now open and we want to hear your stories about how our staff have made a difference to you, a family member, client, or someone you know,” the Department said.

“Acknowledge great customer service and nominate online today,” it said.

It said the awards covered four categories.

Outstanding Service Award (Individual): For individuals who provided exceptional, outcome focused and community centred services that have contributed to better outcomes for citizens.

This employee puts people at the centre of all they do and provides exceptional quality services in line with our values.

Outstanding Service Award (Team): For teams who provided exceptional, outcome focused and community centred services that have contributed to better outcomes for citizens.

This team puts people at the centre of all they do and provides exceptional quality services in line with our values.

Outstanding Service to the Aboriginal Community Award: For individuals or teams who displayed a high degree of cultural capability and exceptional service that led to better outcomes for Aboriginal people, families and communities.

They put Aboriginal people at the centre of all they do and provide exceptional quality services to the community in line with our values.

Building Strong Partnerships Award: For individuals or teams who partnered with external organisations to deliver exceptional programs and projects that improve social outcomes and people-centred services.

These are employees who build on the quality of relationships and demonstrate respect, inclusiveness and accountability in line with our values.

The Department said Award recipients would be announced at a presentation event in early December.

Assistance in making a nomination is available from the Department at this email address: [email protected].
