A pop-up play space and circus is to appear in Haig Park this weekend (26 September) to help keep children entertained through the school holidays
The City Renewal Authority said the pop-up play space, Playful Endeavour, was a free school holiday activity and would be complemented by Warehouse Circus which gave kids the opportunity to let out their own inner clown.
“A collection of found and made materials will be on offer to encourage creative play for children of all ages and abilities (plus a big pile of dirt to get messy in!),” the Authority said.
“Have you ever wanted to bring out your inner clown or acrobat? These school holidays you can have the opportunity,” it said.
“We’re partnering with Warehouse Circus who will be providing the opportunity for kids to live their circus dreams, teaching them juggling, trick sticks, poi and hoops skills.”
The Authority said the circus would be located near the Playful Endeavour activities and older children would be able to play and learn while their younger siblings were entertained in the play space.
It said Playful Endeavour would run from 26 September to 9 October, while the Warehouse Circus would open from 12pm to 1pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays over the same period.
