Inhaler is an Irish rock band who formed in 2012 while the members were students at St Andrews College in Blackrock Dublin.

The band consists of vocalist/guitarist Elijah Hewson, bassist Robert Keating, guitarist Josh Jenkinson and drummer Ryan McMahon.

They enhance their live performance through the inclusion of keyboards and synths supplied by Louis Lambert.

Inhaler have a devoted fan base in their homeland and the UK and they are renowned for their energetic shows.

They have released eight singles so far, all of which have been well received, ultimately placing them at fifth in the BBC Sounds Of 2020 poll.

Cheer Up Baby is their latest release from their upcoming Debut album, It Won’t Always Be Like This, which is slated for release on 16 July this year.

The band were one of the winners in the Music Moves Europe Talent Award in 2021 and were short listed for the MTV Push UK & Ireland 2021 category.

Inhaler is following in the tradition of a legion of fantastic rock bands that have emanated from Ireland and particularly from Dublin.

There’s something about the live music scene in Dublin that reminds me of Melbourne.

They are both cities that respect, promote, and rejoice in a vibrant live music environment and I have spent many happy nights going from one pub to the next soaking up the atmosphere (and a pint or two of the black) in both cities.

The band produce really catchy alternative/indie rock songs and five of their eight singles have charted in the Top 40 with Cheer Up Baby already climbing to number 14 in the UK & Irish charts.

This argues well for the album which should be a cracker if all the current singles are included.
