Parks Victoria has welcomed back visitors to stay at all 1,348 of its camping and accommodation sites across Victoria’s parks, lining up with the latest requirements to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
The organisation said visitors would need to adhere to physical distancing measures and supply all items they’ll need for personal hygiene.
“Communal toilets will be open, but no other communal facilities such as showers, kitchens, barbecues, and water fountains will be available,” the Agency said.
“Accommodation with no shared facilities such as remote camping will be allowed.”
It said all parks and assets were open to visitors except Buchan Caves Reserve; Lower Glenelg National Park; Point Nepean National Park; St Kilda Pier; Twelve Apostles Visitor Centre and Wilsons Promontory light station.
“These sites within parks will remain closed until further notice as they contain viewing experiences which encourage congregation, congestion, and the gathering of visitors at focal points, which don’t comply with physical distancing measures,” the Agency said.
“Please note that across all Parks Victoria managed parks and assets, barbecues, drinking fountains, showers, and communal kitchens are not available for public use,” it said.
Bookings for camping and roofed accommodation can be made on the Parks Victoria website via this PS News link.
