The Department of Health has launched a new campaign to encourage eligible Australians to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
The Department said its Arm Yourself campaign urged Australians to protect themselves, their loved ones, the people they care about and the wider community by getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
“The campaign will be rolled out across a range of channels, including television, radio, print, digital and social media,” the Department said.
“Importantly, the campaign material will be adapted for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander audiences,” it said.
“Use the COVID-19 vaccine eligibility checker to find out when you can arm yourself and book your vaccination.”
The Department said campaign resources included explainer videos on the Therapeutic Goods Administration’s process of assessing and approving vaccines; how COVID-19 vaccines were able to be developed faster than other vaccines; the vaccine rollout; vaccine supply; and how vaccines work.
It said a suite of tiles that could be used on social media to support the vaccination program were also available, along with posters and videos for aged care workers and residents.
