Bunbury to trial ServiceWA centre

ServiceWA has opened a trial centre in Bunbury aimed at reforming Government service delivery in that community.

In a statement, Service WA said the aim of the trial was to make it easier for people from the region to connect with the Government, remove duplication and centralise access to Government services.

“Customers can now complete over 80 transactional services from across Government, like applying for and renewing their drivers and fishing licence, seniors card and paying a range of fines and infringements, in one convenient location,” the Agency said.

“As well as facilitating transactions, centre staff can also show customers how to complete future transactions online at a time and location that is convenient to them.”

It said that alongside the face-to-face centre, ServiceWA was continuing its digital work to support Agencies delivering services online.

“The one-stop shop centre moves away from the traditional siloed structures of Government and represents significant collaboration between five Government Agencies, the Departments of Transport, Justice, Communities, Primary Industries and Regional Development and the Western Australia Police Force,” ServiceWA said.

“It is a major step towards reforming Government service delivery across Western Australia and is a valuable opportunity to learn what does and doesn’t work for our customers.”

It said the insights gained would be used to help shape the future of ServiceWA.

Minister for Finance, Ben Wyatt said customers could come into the centre to learn how they could complete Government transactions online “saving themselves time standing in queues or travelling to various service centres”.

The Centre is at 24 Wellington Street Bunbury and its open hours are Monday to Friday from 8:15 am to 4:30 pm. It will be closed weekends and public holidays.
