Entries are now open for the 2019 Workplace Giving Excellence Awards that recognise the most outstanding Workplace Giving programs and performers in Australia.
Now in its fourth year, the program has established its position as a highly anticipated annual event.
The awards are part of the One Million Donors campaign which is aimed at seeing a million working Australians donating to charity through their workplaces.
Spearheaded by Workplace Giving Australia and launched by former Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, the campaign is supported by leading employers, charities and community organisations.
A statement along with the awards announcement says the Workplace Giving Excellence Awards not only motivate and instill pride in employees, they inspire stakeholders and create an overall sense of achievement across organisations.
The Award categories are Best Overall Program; Best Launch or Refresh (by an employer); Best Launch or Refresh (by a charity); Best Pro-Bono/Workplace Volunteering; Most Unique Innovation; and Most Innovative Charity/Employer Partnership.
A special Best Public Sector Program is also awarded to the Government or public sector employer that has developed an effective and innovative program where staff make donations to charity direct from their pay.
Entries close on 30 August with the finalists announced in October and a presentation event on 12 November in Sydney.
