New roofs to cover schools

Six Canberra public schools are to have their roofs replaced.

Work will occur over the next four years at Alfred Deakin High School, Calwell High School, Campbell High School, Dickson College, North Ainslie Primary School and Telopea Park School.

The new roofs are expected to make the school buildings more comfortable for students and staff and improve energy efficiency through the installation of insulation or using new insulated roofing panels.

Renewal of deteriorating school roofs will also minimise the damage and disruption that can be caused by water leaks during storms.
