Travellers to Western Australia from the Eastern States are being encouraged to Take a Mate to WA through a major marketing partnership.
Tourism WA has teamed up with Qantas for the initiative, which will give people the chance to fly return to Perth for $299 per person from Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne.
The special fares are available until the end of this week (Friday, 21 May) unless sold out before.
Acting Managing Director of Tourism WA, Derryn Belford said the deal was expected to bring thousands of visitors, injecting almost $9 million into the State’s economy.
“This partnership with Qantas will help us bring thousands of visitors from the eastern seaboard to WA which will support accommodation providers, tourism operators, and the broader community,” Ms Belford said.
“As well as the incredible Qantas airfare deal, additional offers have been crafted to encourage visitors to spend more, stay longer, and travel further while in WA.”
She said the special airfares would be promoted through an extensive media campaign which included television and online, as well as through Qantas’ social and digital channels.
“As an added incentive, people booking accommodation through Qantas Hotels will receive triple Qantas Points during the flight sale period,” Ms Belford said.
“The holiday experiences available in Perth and Margaret River will also be promoted to travellers through Qantas Holidays and their great value fly-and-stay offers.”
