Tourism WA has launched a campaign aimed at promoting the State as the most desirable destination for a working holiday.
The Working Holiday Maker (WHM) campaign will run until 30 June and encourage working holiday-makers in Australia and United Kingdom residents planning to travel to Australia, to work in one of the many tourism and hospitality jobs available in Western Australia.
The campaign features a video series with former Australian cricketer and local resident, Mitchell Johnson showing a real British couple, currently in Perth on their working holiday, why it’s the best place in Australia for a working holiday.
Competitions will run in Australia and the UK to incentivise working holiday-makers to visit Tourism WA’s new consumer website and dedicated jobs portal.
Managing Director of Tourism WA, Carolyn Turnbull wants tourism and hospitality businesses to register their job vacancies.
“The ongoing demand for travel to WA means we continue to see high numbers of job vacancies in the industry,” Ms Turnbull said.
“It’s important to ensure that, as a State, we present our best available jobs to those who are considering working and holidaying in WA.”
Employers who haven’t already done so can register their company profiles, before listing job vacancies, at this PS News link.
