Yes readers, it’s this time of year when Mother Nature imposes super unwellness on its mild-mannered reporters of great metropolitan newspapers and it has certainly succeeded in doing just that for PS-sssst! and its sorry season.
Far from PS-sssst’s usual fun and games it’s more like ‘done and pains’ for the first time in 15 years, capable only of a short selection of commentary as the bugs do their duties.
But a full two weeks of winners in Rama Gaind’s ever-popular book and movies giveaways can’t be neglected.
So while, the writer feels closer to wronger, the following lucky winners in Rama’s weekly giveaway are to be congratulated.
Week before last, Rama offered three lucky readers copies of the sci-fi thriller DVD Assassin starring Domenic Purcell and Bruce Willis to add to their collection, for naming the actor who played in the Assassin as the ‘Assassin’.
The answer was Bruce Willis – his last role – and the lucky winners who greeted the judges first were Tom P from the ACT Department of Education, Scott S from the national Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, and Rod M from Queensland’s Department of Health in Mackay.
Congratulations to all the winners, and thanks to everyone who took part, the DVDs well be on their way any day soon.
And before signing off, Rama also offered giveaways to readers last week in the form of family movie passes (for two adults and two children) to see the latest film Belle & Sebastian: Next Generation simply by naming the canine who stars in it.
The answer was ‘Belle’, and the two lucky winners who scored the popular movie freebies were Suzanna A from the federal Department of Home Affairs and Scott M from the national Department of Health and Aged Care in Canberra.
Congratulations to Suzanna and Scott and thanks to everyone who took part in Rama’s giveaway then too.
Rama has more giveaways this week which come with another chance to join her winning way so check out her current reviews of the book Women and Whitlam: Revisiting the Revolution at this PS News link and/or her equally current review of the book Teams that Swear on this PS News link and then wait for the judge!
Good luck to all who do!
Better luck next week…
And finally, the last word from our ever humorous (because she’s retired!) Philomena S.
Until next week….
