VisitCanberra has released its latest quarterly Event Guide, showcasing the attractions and activities on offer in the Capital for the next three months.
This time the Guide comes with a VisitCanberra twist, introducing a challenge for readers to try 100 unique experiences and make 2019 springtime in Canberra well and truly unforgettable.
“Canberra springs into a colourful celebration this season with a jam-packed calendar of events, exhibitions, foodie experiences and hidden, local gems,” VisitCanberra said.
It said the Guide recommends a few events people won’t want to miss, such as Floriade, Australia’s biggest celebration of spring.
“With over one million blooms on display [it is] a diverse and ever expanding program of music, cultural celebrations, local food and wine, horticultural workshops, market traders, artistic displays, entertainment and recreational activities,” it said.
NightFest takes over after dark when the sun sets on Floriade.
“Thursday to Saturday nights feature live music on Stage 88, while Sunday night will see side-splittingly funny comedians take to the stage.”
VisitCanberra said the Event Guide had everything from the Club Highland Gathering at which people explore Scottish culture and enjoy the ACT Pipe Band Championships, through to the Pod Playground for kids at the National Arboretum.
“Challenge yourself to try all 100 experiences to make your trip to the capital an unforgettable one,” VisitCanberra said.
