The Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU) has invited all the members of the Australian Public Service (APS) to share their thoughts and comments on the Service to help inform a submission to the current review of the APS.
On its website, the CPSU says the Government has commissioned the review of the APS which will report in 2019.
“The APS review gives us an opportunity to tell your story on what’s happening in the APS and what can be done to make things better, for our workplaces and for the communities that rely on the policy, enforcement and services you deliver,” the union said
It noted that the scope of the review was limited and the panel chosen to oversee it includes only one person out of six who had worked in the APS.
It said there was no information on the direction the review would take, which made it all the more important that APS members have their say and tell their story on the state of the Service and what could be done to make it better.
“You are also encouraged to make your own submission individually or as a workplace,” the CPSU said.
“Keep submissions insightful, professional and respectful — please be consistent with the APS Code of Conduct.”
