The Public Service Association of NSW (PSA) has launched a series of Lunch and Learn events to help its members in the Department of Education understand their Flexible Working Hours Agreement and Employment Award.

The PSA said that over the past year it had been contacted by many members with concerns about inconsistencies accessing the Flexible Working Hours Agreement and Award conditions they were employed under.

“The PSA will be delivering a Lunch and Learn training session to give staff a better understanding of their hard-won entitlements to Flexible Working Hours and the Award that sets out their working conditions,” the PSA said.

“If you have questions or would like to better understand the Award and Flex Agreement that applies to you as Department of Education employees we encourage you to come along and learn more,” it said.

“We will be running a series of these events for different areas of the Department of Education in the upcoming months.”

The PSA said the first event was available for PSA members at Eveleigh ITD and Newcastle office at 12:30pm on Tuesday 18 May via Zoom.

The association said people would receive further details on the event after they registered.

PSA members can register for the webinar at this PS News link.
