Brisk, animated and moving … and that’s just the characters and storyline!

The Trouble with Choices is written on a broader canvas than just the hero and heroine. What’s more, the characters are noteworthy: from eccentric octogenarian grandparents to a gorgeous Irishman and a tiny baby Joey kangaroo.

It’s a down-to-earth believable story of an ordinary family and their ups and downs. While it always entertains, sometimes it’s sad and funny in other instances.

Their surname is more than what the three Faraday sisters have in common. They learn that the wrong choices can lead to the right places. Each has to make a tough choice, but of course, choices have consequences – and that’s when life gets demanding.

This feel-good romantic comedy is set in the Adelaide Hills and among the gorgeous beaches of the southern Fleurieu Peninsula.

Older sisters, Beth and Hannah, are twins. Then there’s Sophie, a school teacher, and brother Dan, who is getting married to Lucy. This is where the story begins. The girls are the bridesmaids.

Beth juggles her life with shift work, a mortgage and a 10-year-old. Hannah’s reasons for avoiding relationships are personal. Sophie’s boyfriend has left her and a one-night fling has a serious outcome.

Nan and Pop Faraday are in the eighties. The matriarchs of the family have everything under control, but Hannah suspects her grandmother is not well. Sophie is too intoxicated to listen to Hannah’s suspicions and Beth brushes them off.

Trish Morey admits to having the best job in the world — and why not. The internationally recognised romance writer travels the world in search of inspiration for her stories. She is a prolific writer of books that may make you blush, but the winning formula is engaging with a sincere, entertaining and astute appraisal of family and contemporary staging.
