Creative cleverness in Western Australia’s Department of Communities a short time ago when the time came to rustle up interest in the State’s Youth Week 2023.
Declaring a range of exciting events and activities throughout the community to celebrate the contribution young people make to the State, the local Minister showed she wasn’t going to be left out of the cleverness, by putting her approval to a media comment with a very clever headline.
“Youth Week 2023,” the Minister’s message began, followed by “Putting you(th) in the picture”.
Well done, congratulations to all involved.
PS-sssst! wonders however what the ‘picture’ will look like!
One for the wedding
To PS-sssst!’s long-standing friend from Victoria now, Philomena S who has been busy in her retirement collecting interesting snippets of wisdom and not-so-wise findings to share with PS News readers.
Of some interest Philomena has reported that an overseas Government declared 4,153,237 people chose to marry in its country last year.
Nothing particularly unusual about that of course, although the super-sharp Philomena suggested it could be a better statistic if the total was an even number!
Books at hand
Handing over now to the ever handy Rama Gaind for not one, but two giveaways to make twice as many readers happy this week by winning her free weekly giveaways.
First freebie is the The Redgum River Retreat by Sandie Docker which brings three women’s stories to life, and to win it we only had to tell Rama who the story’s three generations were.
The answers were Grandmother Rosalie, single mother Sarah and her daughter Melody and the three lucky readers who correctly led the way out of the PS News Barrel of Booty to score free copies of the book were Suzanna A from the Federal Department of Home Affairs, Susanne L from Services Australia and Delma L from Queensland’s Department of Education.
Congratulations to every winner and thanks to everyone who took part.
Also on the winning track to take Rama’s prizes home this week were the readers who entered her contest to win a copy of Luke Smith’s Smart Money Strategy a week earlier by answering the question ‘Who is Luke Smith?’.
The answer is that Luke Smith is a financial planner and host of podcast The Strategy Stacker and the first two lucky readers whose correct entries emerged from the Barrel first were from Carol C of the National Indigenous Australians Agency and Voret C from the Australian Taxation Office.
Congratulation to each and thanks again to the many readers who joined in the game.
For another chance to join Rama’s winning army simply follow her ‘Win’ stars and put your good luck to work in her review of her Movie Love Again at this PS News link.
Good luck to everyone who enters Rama’s realm and tries their luck!
