The Pleasures is Catherine Britt and Lachlan Bryan’s new outfit and The Beginning Of The End is the first single to be released from their collaboration.
Catherine Britt is Australian country music royalty, as Bryan says, “She sounds authentic because she is authentic.”
Lachlan Bryan is well known for his work with Melbourne based country rock band Lachlan Bryan and The Wildes.
Their take on country tilts towards the rock and roll interpretation of the genre.
Together these two cook up a storm as country twang meets down dirty and gritty rock’n’roll.
The Beginning Of The End perfectly matches Britt’s Americana country with Bryan’s hard driving holler and they have an outstanding rock outfit backing them.
The song swaggers along delivering its message of mischief and recklessness with sassy sauciness in the lyrics.
Britt and Bryan have known each other for some time and their individual careers have often found them sharing the same stages.
Apparently, this collaboration started with some late night text message exchanges which quickly led to a fortnight of feverish writing and recording.
The resultant album is already in the can and it’s due for release later this year.
Britt and Bryan found that working together was a joy and as Britt explains “these songs came so easy – they flowed out of us like a raging stream.”
If The Beginning Of The End is anything to go by the album should be a cracker and loaded with potential singles.
Expect to hear a few more before the album finally drops.
